Carbonado is a smooth black yarn wrapped in a silver halo. Made with a generous share of true black alpaca — the rarest variety available — this yarn has a beautiful drape and slight shine. Silver Gotland Sheep locks create subtle grey streaks and a halo (a slight fuzz around the yarn). The East Friesian Wool adds body and more black fiber. Carbonado is smooth but not silky. It’s suitable for probably everything but socks
